SUMMARY:Lupercalia Printmaking Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Based on the Roman festival of the same name\, Lupercalia falls on February 15. In keeping with the ancient tradition\, February 13th and 14th are observed as feast days leading up to the actual holiday. What we are translating this to in TST is a "hail yourself" day. This idea offers a parallel to the "others-centered" traditions of Sol Invictus.\n\n\n\nThis workshop will be led by Hannah Capra\, who has a BFA in printmaking and has been teaching since she was 16. Participants will make 4x6" carvings in celebration of self\, bodily autonomy\, sexual liberation\, and reproduction. They will then ink and print these carvings\, making multiple cards that they may trade with other participants and give out to friends- or enemies. Singles encouraged\, couples welcomed!  \n\n\n\nTicket price includes all materials necessary to participate in the workshop!
