Getaround Car-Sharing Program Launch & Ribbon Cutting

Join Mayor Kim Driscoll as the City of Salem cuts the ribbon in launching Getaround! Getaround and the City of Salem are working together to add to the City’s efficient and reliable multimodal transportation system that accommodates all users – pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, and drivers. The new program is making available nine all-wheel drive Ford Escape hybrid vehicles for an affordable community car sharing service via the Getaround platform. Now, community members in Salem can easily access safe, affordable, and convenient cars to use flexibly when and where they need them. 

The ceremony will take place at the Blaney Street Lot by Salem Ferry. Event is free to attend and all are invited. The event takes place just before the Welcome Back Salem Ferry event at 5PM. Tickets to that event are $20 each and registration is required online.
