Textile Recycling Drive

Residents of all communities may participate in SalemRecycles' annual Clothing & Household Textile Recycling Drive. Drop off USABLE and UNUSABLE textiles: usable items will be sold in Goodwill stores; unusable items will be recycled into new products. Items can be in almost any condition (reusable, moth-eaten, faded, torn, stained) but must be clean & dry to be accepted. RECYCLE THE FOLLOWING: clothing, sneakers, shoes, boots, slippers, belts, ties, purses, pillows, bedding (comforters, sheets, blankets), table linens, stuffed animals and draperies/curtains. PLEASE, NO carpets, rugs, bric-a-brac, oil rags, wet or mildewed items.
